*Jack Sandweiss is Donner Professor of Physics at Yale University. He has been active in experimental particle physics research using accelerators at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and Brookhaven National Laboratory. For the past decade his research has focused on high-energy heavy-ion physics using the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven. He has served as Editor of Physical Review Letters since 1987.
