Phys. Rev. Lett. 25, 1050–1053 (1970)ρ-ω Interference in the π-π+ Decay Mode of the Reaction π-+p→(ρ,ω)+n at 2.3 GeV/cReceived 30 July 1970; published in the issue dated 12 October 1970 In a sample of 8300 events of the type π-+p→π-+π++n obtained from a hydrogen bubble chamber exposure, a strong sharp ω→π-+π+ peak is observed. Analysis indicates that this ω→2π decay interferes almost perfectly constructively with the prominent decay of ρ0→π-+π+. The interference phase is determined to be -15°±30°. This phase is consistent with predictions of π-B degeneracy using Regge-pole methods. © 1970 The American Physical Society URL:
