Lett. 38, 1313–1315 (1977)Observation of the Decay D*+→D0π+Received 7 April 1977; published in the issue dated 6 June 1977 We have observed the decay D*+→D0π+ and have measured its Q value to be 5.7±0.5 MeV. The decay width of the D*+ is less than 2.0 MeV/c2. The observation of D*+→(K-π+)π+ but not of D*+→(K+π-)π+ sets an upper limit on the amount of D0-D̅ 0 mixing. © 1977 The American Physical Society URL:
