Phys. Rev. Lett. 50, 1419–1422 (1983)Constraint on the Photino Mass from CosmologySee Also: Erratum Received 22 February 1983; published in the issue dated 9 May 1983 A lower bound for the photino mass mγ̃ as a function of the spin-0 fermion superpartner mass mf̃ is derived as an extension of the calculation of Lee and Weinberg. The Majorana nature of the photino induces a p-wave threshold for annihilation γ̃γ̃→ff̅ into light fermions, and leads to a rather unexpected form for the bound: for 25 GeV≲mf̃≲45 GeV, (mγ̃)min≃mτ=1.8 GeV; for mf̃>45 GeV, (mγ̃)min increases approximately linearly with mf̃ to a value of 20 GeV when mf̃=100 GeV. © 1983 The American Physical Society URL:
