Lett. 52, 1033–1036 (1984)Fractal Dimension of Dielectric BreakdownReceived 23 November 1983; published in the issue dated 19 March 1984 It is shown that the simplest nontrivial stochastic model for dielectric breakdown naturally leads to fractal structures for the discharge pattern.
