Lett. 55, 2692–2695 (1985)Observation of Weak Localization of Light in a Random MediumReceived 5 August 1985; published in the issue dated 9 December 1985 We report the observation of weak localization of light in a random medium. In a sample consisting of a highly concentrated suspension of polystyrene particles in water, polarization-dependent enhanced backscattering of laser light was found within a cone of approximately 0.2° (half angle) for the highest concentration. © 1985 The American Physical Society URL:
