Lett. 58, 187–190 (1987)Bounds on the electron electric dipole moment in a wide class of modelsReceived 29 August 1986; published in the issue dated 19 January 1987 It is shown that in a wide class of models that give an interestingly large electric dipole moment for the electron, de can be bounded from dn or B(μ→eγ) provided that certain assumptions are made about the pattern of flavor mixing.
