Lett. 62, 2346–2348 (1989)New definition of quasilocal massReceived 5 December 1988; published in the issue dated 15 May 1989 We give a new definition of a quasilocal mass function in general relativity which is uniquely defined, manifestly non-negative, and increases with increasing domains.
