Phys. Rev. Lett. 74, 1900–1903 (1995)Model of Two-Dimensional Quantum Gravity in the Strong Coupling RegimeReceived 11 October 1994; published in the issue dated 13 March 1995 A model of two-dimensional quantum gravity that is the analog of the tensionless string is proposed. The gravitational constant ( k) is the analog of the Regge slope ( α′), and it shows that when k→∞, 2D quantum gravity can be understood as a tensionless string theory embedded in a two-dimensional target space. The temporal coordinate of the target space plays the role of time, and the wave function can be interpreted as in standard quantum mechanics. © 1995 The American Physical Society URL:
