Lett. 77, 4702–4703 (1996)Gravitational Instantons and Minimal SurfacesReceived 3 October 1996; published in the issue dated 2 December 1996 We show that for every minimal surface in E3 there is a gravitational instanton, an exact solution of the Einstein field equations with Euclidean signature and anti-self-dual curvature.
