Phys. Rev. Lett. 82, 1101–1104 (1999)Effects of Isospin-Symmetry Violation on Tests of the Standard Model Using Parity-Violating Electron ScatteringReceived 23 December 1997; revised 29 September 1998; published in the issue dated 8 February 1999 The effects of isospin mixing on the observables for parity-violating electron scattering are investigated within the framework of the nuclear shell model for 12C, 16O, and 28Si. Contributions due to mixing with low-lying states as well as admixtures of 1p-1h configurations are accounted for. The consequences regarding precision tests of the standard model are addressed. © 1999 The American Physical Society URL:
