Phys. Rev. Lett. 83, 4929–4932 (1999)Large ΔI = 3/2 Contribution to ε′/ε in SupersymmetryReceived 19 August 1999; published in the issue dated 13 December 1999 We show that in supersymmetric extensions of the standard model gluino box diagrams can yield a large CP-violating ΔI = 3/2 contribution to s→dq̅ q flavor-changing neutral current processes, which feeds into the I = 2 isospin amplitude in K→ππ decays. This contribution requires only moderate mass splitting between the right-handed squarks ũR and d̃R, and persists for squark masses of order 1 TeV. Taking into account current bounds from K-K̅ mixing, the resulting contribution to ε′/ε could naturally be an order of magnitude larger than the measured value. © 1999 The American Physical Society URL:
