We suggest that a significant part of the discrepancy can be explained by the process e+e-→J/ψ+J/ψ. Because the J/ψ+J/ψ production process can proceed through fragmentation of two virtual photons into two cc̅ pairs, its cross section may be larger than that for J/ψ+ηc by about a factor of 3.7, in spite of a suppression factor α2/αs2 that is associated with the QED and QCD coupling constants. © 2003 The American Physical Society URL:
