Harmonics of an extreme-ultraviolet light source diffracted onto a phosphor screen. High harmonics are generated coherently at a high repetition rate by laser pulses inside a passive enhancement cavity, forming a frequency "comb" of regularly spaced sharp lines allowing a dramatic improvement in XUV spectral resolution. This process does not require active amplification of single laser pulses in the high-harmonic generation of XUV light. [R. Jason Jones, Kevin D. Moll, Michael J. Thorpe, and Jun Ye, Phys. Rev.
